Dear Diaries

A three-pack of opportunities to peek at a diary other than your sister's:

  • MechCommander 2
The second edition of GameSpy.com's MechCommander 2 Developer Diary is online, offering a real-world example of what they are currently involved with as development continues on the upcoming sequel to MechCommander, which brought real-time tactical action to the heavy mech-heavy world of BattleTech. The diary was to be penned by lead designer Mike Lee, but is once again written by producer Mitch Gitelman, as Mike busies himself with the task of getting ready to present the game at this year's E3, and consequently, is more about the experience of attending the trade show from a developer's perspective. Included are three new screenshots.
  • TORN
Black Isle Studios' TORN Designer Diary, Chapter 3A on RPG Vault makes up for previous accusations of garrulousness with a 224 word installment (counting the P.S.), a majority of which is simply a definition of "garrulousness."
  • Mimesis Online
The first installment of RPGDot's Mimesis Online Developer's Diary is online, offering thoughts from Derek Handley, a staff writer for Tannhauser Gate, the Polish developer at work on this upcoming MMORPG.
