Ubisoft Games Ending Online Services

Ubisoft announces the sun is setting for online services for some of its older games. It lists a number of titles that will join its list of decommissioned online services as of September 1st. This will mark the end of multiplayer support, and will also prevent the installation of DLC for some games. Here are the PC games:

  • Anno 2070. You will be unable to play multiplayer, link Ubisoft accounts in-game or use online features.
  • Assassin's Creed II. You will be unable to play multiplayer, link Ubisoft accounts in-game or use online features.
  • Assassin's Creed 3 (2012 Release).* You will be unable to play multiplayer, link Ubisoft accounts in-game or use online features. Additionally, the installation and access to downloadable content (DLC) will be unavailable.
  • Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. You will be unable to play multiplayer, link Ubisoft accounts in-game or use online features. Additionally, the installation and access to DLC will be unavailable.
  • Assassin's Creed Liberation HD. You will be unable to link Ubisoft accounts in-game or use online features. Additionally, the installation and access to DLC will be unavailable.
  • Driver San Francisco. You will be unable to play multiplayer, link Ubisoft accounts in-game or use online features. Additionally, the installation and access to DLC will be unavailable.
  • Far Cry 3 (2012 Release).* You will be unable to play multiplayer, link Ubisoft accounts in-game or use online features. Additionally, the installation and access to DLC will be unavailable.
  • Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands. You will be unable to play multiplayer, link Ubisoft accounts in-game or use online features. Additionally, the installation and access to DLC will be unavailable.
  • Silent Hunter 5. You will be unable to link Ubisoft accounts in-game or use online features. Additionally, the installation and access to DLC will be unavailable.
  • Space Junkies (HTC VIVE, Oculus). As a multiplayer only title, you will be unable to play the game going forward.
  • Splinter Cell: Blacklist. You will be unable to play multiplayer, link Ubisoft accounts in-game or use online features.

* Remastered version of the game is not affected.
