Inside the Sausage Factory on Computer Games Online is the online version of an article that originally appeared in the April 2001 issue of Computer Games Magazine. Penned by Phil Steinmeyer of PopTop Software, the article pops the top off of some aspects of the development of Tropico, their recently released island dictator simulation, though due to the lead times required for print, the finishing touches they were applying at the time it was written are referred to in the present tense.
