Atari tweets
that today is the company's 50th anniversary. The company has changed hands and
business models many times over that half-century. But the latest iteration
continues on, and its plans to capitalize on its famous name include theme
hotels. It may be hard to imagine in an era when you can game on your phone
while on the toilet, but there was a time when one didn't have access to video
games in one's home, and Atari was largely responsible for changing that. Happy birthday, Atari!
