Game DRM Breaks New Intel CPUs

The speculation that Intel's new Adler Lake CPUs may have problems with game DRM has turned out to have merit. In a Game Dev Guide for Alder Lake Performance Hybrid Architecture, Intel warns: "If your existing or upcoming game uses a DRM middleware, you might want to contact the middleware provider and confirm that it supports hybrid architectures in general, and the upcoming Intel ADL platform in particular. Due to the nature of modern DRM algorithms, it might use CPU detection, and should be aware of the upcoming hybrid platforms. Intel is working with leading DRM providers such as Denuvo* to make sure their solutions support new platforms." Now Intel offers a List of Games Affected by DRM Issue in 12th Gen Intel Processors for Windows 11 and Windows 10 (thanks Neowin). This outlines games that won't run under the new CPUs broken down by Windows version, as well as a list of games that can played by taking advantage of a Scroll Lock workaround:
The games listed below are known to be impacted by the Digital Rights Management (DRM) software issue with Windows 11*. The games listed in bold are expected to be patched sometime in mid-November with the upcoming Windows 11 update. We are working with developers to resolve issues with the rest of the games listed.
