"Revitalized" Quake Accidentally Revealed

It turns out there was a little drama to be found in the QuakeCon 2021 Schedule mentioned yesterday. Though it was quickly edited to remove the reference, XboxEra notes that for a few minutes after it was posted, the schedule seems to have spilled the beans on plans to unveil an enhanced version of Quake (thanks VG247). It sounds like Machine Games has helped cook up something for the 25th anniversary of the first-person shooter. Here's the original description of the Let's Talk Quake session provided via Archive.org:
Quake is back, in this special stream John Linnemann from Digital Foundry talks to John Gustafsson of Machine Games about the title's iconic legacy and what it meant to both of them. The pair will also discuss the additional content Machine Games have contributed to this revitalized edition.
