Massive MD Stepping Down

David Polfeldt is stepping down from his post as managing director of Ubisoft Massive effective July 1st. Polfeldt has been with the Swedish studio for 17 years, but in this post Ubisoft says he plans a six-month sabbatical before returning to the company in a "new strategic role." Ubisoft as seen many high profile departures in the wake of scandals over a toxic workplace culture. There is no indication, however, that this change is connected to those problems. According to Axios, Ubisoft already knows who will take over leading the studio in October, but cannot reveal who it is due to "legal agreements with his current employer."
