The Strong National Museum of Play announces the 2021 inductees into its
World Video Game Hall of Fame.
The four honorees are
Animal Crossing,
Microsoft Flight Simulator,
StarCraft, and
Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego? These were
selected from a list of finalists

announced in March:
It’s official! Animal Crossing crossed the finish
line. Microsoft Flight Simulator flew past the competition. StarCraft battled
its way to victory. And Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego? trekked into
history. These four iconic games—which have influenced popular culture and the
video game industry—today joined the
World Video Game Hall of Fame.
They emerged from a field of finalists that also included: Call of Duty,
FarmVille, FIFA International Soccer, Guitar Hero, Mattel Football, Pole
Position, Portal, and Tron.
