Out of the Blue

As you may have already noticed, we're rolling out a couple of design tweaks today that Frans has been fine-tuning for a while now after some coding help from Kxmode. In the upper right-hand corner is a search bar, which follows what's grown to be a pretty familiar convention on the web these days. This plays on one of our strengths here, as we have over 20 years worth of searchable stories in the database. This also appears in our mobile view as a magnifying glass icon to click for searching. The original search box remains on the menu for familiarity, offering advanced search options for your power-using needs. Above the new search box in desktop views is a link for user settings in an area that's also become pretty conventional. This can also be found on the main menu, but we feel it's a quality-of-life improvement to make it more accessible and to stand out better. Finally, speaking of the main menu, this has had a reorganization to make it a bit more logical. There is a new Archives heading and a couple of other rearrangements that we feel make better sense. We hope you find these alterations to your liking, and as always, welcome feedback about the changes. Thanks again to Frans and Kxmode for their fine work.
