Steam Game Festival: Autumn Edition Announced

Valve announces the Steam Game Festival: Autumn Edition will run from October 7-13, offering a follow up to their recent Steam Game Festival: Summer Edition. Like the Summer Edition, the Autumn Edition will offer playable demos to check out. But unlike the last go-round, which featured an impractical total of over 900 demos, the next one should be less of a circus based on a more restrictive set of qualifications for developers. Here's the plan:
Hello Developers!

The Steam Game Festival: Autumn Edition is coming this October 7th – 13th, and we are just one week away from opening the window for you to opt-in to the event.

The Steam Game Festival is a great opportunity to get your demo out in front of a large audience before your game launches. Much like we did with The Steam Game Festival: Summer Edition, there will be options to participate in additional features, including live streams and developer Q&As.

Demos will be eligible for the Autumn Edition if the game’s launch date is set between October 13th, 2020, and May 1, 2021. If your game is ineligible this time, don’t worry! We will be announcing details soon on future Steam Game Festivals for 2021.

Here’s how you can prepare to participate:

  1. Start preparing your demo
  2. Make sure to build your game’s store page so it is ready to go by the time you opt-in
  3. Opt-in anytime between August 19th and August 26th

We will have additional details soon. And In the meantime, get ready to opt-in from Wednesday, August 19th through Wednesday, August 26th!
