BattleJuice! BattleJuice! BattleJuice! Solo developer Alain Brunotte announces
BattleJuice Alchemist, an action/RPG that will feature deck-building,
third-person combat, and 80s synthesizers when it's released via
Steam next year. Here's a
Cinematic Trailer and
a
Gameplay Trailer,
neither of which include even a trace of Michael Keaton. Here's
more:
BattleJuice Alchemist has a dark but cartoonish look and feel to it
while it sounds like Stranger Things with explosions. The game is mainly played
in classic RPG top down view while close combat is fought in third person and
dilated realtime. In these thrilling fights players must rely on a "deck" of
flasks they draw from.
Fans of action RPGs of the early 2000s might be familiar to the interface of
BattleJuice Alchemist: red globe to the left, blue globe to the right. Try to
keep the red one full and empty the blue one for destruction. But there is more
depth to the resource management of this game. The protagonist named Juice has
access to a third resource, a white fluid that supercharges his abilites.
Furthermore, his skills are determined by the alchemical flasks he currently has
at hand. The skinny alchemist Juice is by far no Geralt von Riva. But being the
nerdy type of guy does not stop him from throwing flasks at possessed animals,
humans and even facing demons. All this takes place on beautiful procedurally
generated
maps.
