Time to deal with another bit of fallout from our recent power outage. Before we
were completely blacked out we experienced a series of brief electrical
dropouts. As a result one of my UPS units seems to have bitten the dust. Or more
precisely, the battery is no longer accepting a charge. It's actually quite
possible the battery was dead already, as this is not the one protecting my PC
equipment, so I don't actively monitor it. In any event, I ordered a
replacement. And if it turns out the unit itself is damaged I'll still be able
to save the new battery as a spare for my other UPS, as they are identical.
