Piscatella tweets about U.S. video game spending trends for May, saying:
"MAY 2020 US NPD THREAD - May 2020 tracked spending across Video Game Hardware,
Software, Accessories and Game Cards totaled $977 million, 52 percent higher
when compared to a year ago. This is the highest tracked spend for a May month
since the $1.2 billion achieved in May 2008." Also, there's a
May 2020 Sales Chart on the NPD Group Website outlining the top selling
video games for the month in the U.S. combining both retail and digital formats.
