Path of Exile 2 Beta Likely Delaying Due to Coronavirus

PCGamesN reports beta testing Path of Exile 2 may be delayed as fallout from the coronavirus. When Grinding Gear Games announced the action/RPG sequel late last year they said they expected the beta late this year. Now they explain that they were forced to shuffle developers around to complete the just released Path of Exile: Delirium due to impact of the virus outbreak on their Chinese outsourcing. Here's what Grinding Gear co-founder Chris Wilson told them:
"We outsource around 30 full-time developers' worth of art creation to various outsourcing agencies in China (as it lets us dynamically expand and contract our art flow as our needs wax and wane)," Wilson explains. "After Chinese New Year, the artists were told not to go back to the office for safety reasons around the Novel Coronavirus."

"This caused several weeks of delay, and while we shuffled stuff around so that it didnít affect our current Delirium expansion, it has shunted our Path of Exile 2 schedule a little bit. As itís a long-term project with a Ďrelease it when itís readyí policy, this isnít a big concern for us yet, but we will need to keep an eye on the schedule."
