Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Battle Royale Rumor [Aug 11, 2019, 12:18 pm ET] – 3 Comments
A rumor emerged on Twitter last week about plans to issue a battle royale mode
for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare after the release of the military
shooter reboot. They indicate this will be a standalone mode, with one of them
saying it may be free-to-play. While stressing such rumors should be taken with
a grain of salt,
MP1ST vouches for the prior veracity of the two sources, saying leaks posted
by each of them have proven true in the past. Here are the tweets:

So apparently Battle Royale in #ModernWarfare will be a free mode to release in early 2020. It will be downloadable as a separate game, but also will still be connected to the core game. If this is true then it's a very good move by Activision.
Likely the intro will be "INFINITY WARD" "RAVEN SOFTWARE" "ACTIVISION" then a loading screen taking you to the main menu for BR. (Meant 2020, not 2021) :D

I heard a similar thing that it might be after launch. Production on BR in MW has pretty much halted right now so they can prioritise the large MP modes & Spec Ops first. I’ve heard nothing about free to play though but finger’s crossed 🤞
