Three Free Weekends on Steam

There are three different free weekends underway on Steam, offering the chance to check out three different first-person shooters (thanks Ant. In each case, the game in question is also on sale for those who want to continue on after their samples. Here's a rundown on the freebies, two of which are still in Early Access:

  • Save 25% on Post Scriptum on Steam.
    "Post Scriptum is a first-person simulation shooter that provides an authentic WWII combat experience. Focusing on historical accuracy, large scale battles, a difficult learning curve and an intense need for cohesion, communication and teamwork."
  • Save 50% on Squad on Steam.
    "Squad is a large scale combined arms multiplayer first-person shooter emphasizing combat realism through communication, teamplay, emphasizing strong squad cohesion mechanics as well as larger scale coordination, tactics and planning. It features large open maps, vehicle-based combined arms gameplay, and player-constructed bases to create a heart-thumping, visceral gaming experience which mixes organized tactical multi-squad planning with split second decision-making in real-world scale firefights."
  • Save 40% on Onward on Steam.
    "Onward is a Mil-Sim paced tactical multiplayer shooter, being developed for virtual reality head mounted displays. Players will use coordination, communication, and marksmanship skill to complete objectives in online infantry combat. With dynamic time of day, weather effects, and multiple environments and scenarios, no skirmish will feel the same. With limited respawns, no HUDs, and no crosshairs, players will need their wits and combat skills to survive."
