Rockstar Intel has some intel on the possibility of a PC edition of
Red
Dead Redemption 2 that seems more compelling than the previous hint, which
was
a placeholder retail listing
(thanks
DSOGaming). They report a number of parameters they found when poking around
the RDR2 companion mobile app make references to what sounds like a PC edition
of the wild west shooter sequel. They also note a there are also parameters
indicating there may also be plans for a PC edition of the companion app itself.
Rockstar has made no official announcement about plans to bring the game to PCs,
and its predecessor remains a console-only game. Here's their annotated listing
of what they uncovered:
The most interesting parameters are so:
PARAM_FrameLimit - A framelimiter.
PARAM_DX11Use8BitTargets - Probably due to Xbox One.
PARAM_HDStreamingInFlight - Present in GTA V (PC)
PARAM_Oculus
PARAM_companionAutoConnectIpDurango
PARAM_companionAutoConnectIpOrbis
PARAM_companionAutoConnectIpPC
PARAM_singleThreadedRenderer
PostFX::g_CheckerBoardEnable
