TwitchCon is underway, and during the show Twitch and Harmonix revealed plans for a karaoke game called Twitch Sings that will allow streamers and their audiences to sing along together (start thinking of requests for the Blue Sings channel). "With Twitch Sings, you can sing your heart out, share your performances across Twitch, or perform duets with your community," Twitch explains. "And being in the crowd is just as much fun as holding the mic - and just as important. In chat you can request songs, give your favourite streamers crazy challenges to tackle, and when you cheer you will see Bits will rain down on the crowd." Eurogamer offers a video with a look and listen at what's involved, showing what looks like a spin off of vocals mode in Rock Band. They say a closed beta for PC and iOS will begin this year, and the game is also coming soon to Android.
