Steam offers version 1.0 release notes for H1Z1, revealing that Daybreak's battle royale game has a new development team, and will soon be renamed Z1 Battle Royale (thanks PC Gamer). This will mark the end of the H1Z1 brand, as Daybreak recently announced that H1Z1 Just Survive will not survive past next month, putting an end to the survival half of the franchise. They outline details on weapon changes, matchmaking changes, and bug fixes for version 1.0 along with a new roadmap for the future. Here's more:

H1Z1 on PC will soon be known as “Z1 Battle Royale”! This release is the first major step in that transition. The newly re-formed dev team worked closely with the community to prioritize features and changes that return the game to its roots as the world’s most competitive BR Game.
