The End of Democracy?

Cliffski's Blog has an update on Democracy 3 that comes with that wonderful clickbait-style headline about the completion of post-release support for this politics simulation. There were other possibilities, including Guns N' Roses style "Chinese Democracy," plays on bringing "Democracy to Russia," or "Democracy Saved," and undoubtedly more. The gist of this is to explain that recent updates to the game mark the conclusion of the project, adding Unicode support that allows localized versions for territories like Russia and China. He explains the complications this presented, as Democracy 3 was built off the code of its two predecessors, so Unicode support was not straightforward, nor was creating macOS and Linux editions of the game. In conclusion, Cliff (Harris, not Bleszinski, as we feel we should forestall the inevitable confusion of the two) touches on the future of the series. He implies, but does not confirm, that it will continue:

Now you might think that with everything that is happening politically in the world right now, surely this would be a good time to be working on a political game, not a good time to finish working on one.

And I say to you people who think this… follow me on twitter or bookmark this blog :D.
