A tweet from
has word from the pseudonymous lead developer of Dota 2
are going to shift from monolithic semiannual patches for Valve's MOBA to a more
frequent update approach (thanks
Rock, Paper, Shotgun
). Word is for about six months they will experiment
with a new patch every two weeks:
We want to try taking a different
approach to how gameplay patches are released. Instead of big patches a couple
of times a year, we'll be releasing small patches every 2 weeks on Thursdays.
We'll be trying this out for about six months and then reevaluating.
