I am working this morning from a temporary office I've set up in the guest
bedroom here at the BlueTower in a move that is part of a much more drastic big picture.
I've surrendered my space to workmen who are dealing with some of its issues as
we prepare to sell the place! We are departing our home, and probably our home
state, as MrsBlue has accepted a job in Pennsylvania, though it's not impossible
we'll still end up living in New York, since it's pretty close to the border.
The most interesting aspect of this is that where we are ending up is quite
rural. It looks like I'll be able to get decent internet connectivity, which is
the main concern this raises, but we're talking about country living here. Cows,
bears, hunters... the whole shebang. This should be quite a new experience for
this city boy, as I don't think my time in the suburbs or my youthful days at
summer camp are enough to prepare me for my new life as a country
gentleman. Hopefully you'll view it as good news that I don't expect this to
impact the site that badly, and I do expect things to operate as before after
the move. I'm expecting the interim to be manageable as well. Getting my
office cleared out was one of the logistical hurdles I was facing, so to some
degree the disruption from all this has happened already. I'm sure there will
be some unexpected twists along the way, but I'll keep you informed as I figure out what's going on.
