Whore of the Orient Cancelled?

Whore of the Orient has been cancelled, according to a story on finder.com.au based on comments from this week's Gamehugs podcast (thanks Kate). This was to be the next game from Team Bondi, who developed L.A. Noire, though besides the intentionally edgy title we never got a lot of details about what to expect. This was perhaps due to of troubles at Team Bondi, though last we heard they had raised a little cash for this project. Here's their summary of the news:

During the lengthy conversation around Proud’s career he opened up about that period, about the exciting potential for Whore of the Orient, what the game was going to be like and ultimately its demise. While not using the word “cancel” explicitly, Proud makes it clear that Team Bondi fought to keep the project alive to the bitter end and failed. He admitted that the team was ultimately disbanded and that the game will not come out.
