A
post about a new anti-cheat patch for Dark Souls III has an update
saying the patch has been removed from Steam because they've discovered it
causes freezing problems in the action/RPG sequel. Here's word: "The patch has
been removed temporarily to fix the freeze issues. We hope to reinstate the
patch ASAP. If you fall victim to one of the bugs previously fixed, don't worry,
you won't be penalized. We will keep you posted as soon as we have more info.
Thank you for your understanding" (thanks
HARDOCP). In other Dark Souls III news,
Eurogamer notes a new mod is available allowing the game to be played from a
first-person perspective.
