Many of us who have played a lot of shooters in the past noticed examples of
sketchy skillshots in Overwatch killcam replays, and a
post on
Battle.net seems to confirm that some beta players were indeed cheating,
though they also warn that a loss of fidelity on replays may create the
appearance of cheating where there was none. They outline a zero tolerance
policy, saying cheaters will be banned, and that some bans have already come down
after the beta: "In fact, thanks to reports submitted during the beta, we’ve
already made improvements to the game as well as removed players who were found
to be cheating." They outline how to report suspicious behavior, and say they
will also be adding the ability to report players from within the game client.
