New GeForce Drivers

The GeForce website now offers new WHQL-certified drivers for Windows, improving support for running the new DOOM and other games using NVIDIA hardware. In addition to id's shooter sequel, these offer enhanced support for Homefront: The Revolution and Master of Orion.

With our Game Ready driver you'll have an optimized experience, giving you the best possible framerates and frametimes whether you're playing alone or online. And at a later date support for the Vulkan graphics API will be released, further accelerating framerates in DOOM. For a demonstration, check out the newly-announced GeForce GTX 1080 running DOOM at up to 200 FPS with Vulkan:

If that wasn't enough, id Software has now sent us an uncut 6-minute direct feed, GeForce GTX-powered, Vulkan-accelerated, 1920x1080, 60 FPS, 2.1GB PC gameplay video that shows the full fidelity, speed, and quality of DOOM. This is the world's first uncompressed direct feed footage from the GeForce GTX-powered, Vulkan-accelerated version of DOOM, running at full speed with a 120 degree field of view, giving you a perfect look at how DOOM plays on PC with settings and options cranked up.
