MCV has sorted though this, explaining that it seems someone has hacked a way to grant enemy players more souls, and since artificial soul inflation is one of the things examined by the game's anti-cheat system, these players end up being soft-banned. There are warnings to avoid playing with a specific user, who is said to be livestreaming his exploits.
