The good news about my FiOS installation is that we did not lose our phone numbers, and at some point we got them properly ported over. This has things almost worked out here, though one of the lines on one of the phones has an issue, which was almost certainly a wiring issue caused by our amateur installer. The good news is that someone is coming by today to look at this, the bad news is I think it's the same app programmer that the striking telecom firm sent to do the initial install. Hopefully this will be simple enough to handle... I'm tempted to ask them to wait until the strike is over to try to get this worked out.
