I recently mentioned the acquisition of an electric trimmer which allowed me to finally tame our wild forsythia situation. This weekend was the reckoning for how easy this was, as I had to deal with a pile of trimmings unprecedented in my previous efforts. At one point I was thinking the acquisition of the trimmer may have provoked the need for a wood-chipper, but with a steady effort I was able to whittle these down to size and bag the whole mess for pickup. This was all a little much, but I'm confident that this will be an easier chore going forward now that I've got a handle on things again.
