At the doctor's yesterday I was surprised to see the nurse draw a third vial of blood, as I'm pretty sure I only had to give two of these in the past. I was going to say that these things look like they hold a few ounces each, and that the three of them might be as much as a half-pint of blood. Then I thought I might be off a bit, and sure enough a little quick research suggests the three vials of blood probably added up to 1.5 ounces at the most. I'm not someone who is generally bothered by needles or freaked out by blood, but maybe the whole situation rattled me more that I'm admitting if it inspired that sort of exaggeration. Anyway, my arm isn't black and blue today, so I figure I'm ahead of the game.
