Capcom has
taken to Twitter to clarify that their plans for a new version of
Resident Evil 2 involve recreating it from the ground up, rather than just
updating the graphics in the 1998 survival/horror sequel (thanks
Destructoid). The project was unveiled
over the summer, while
a recent investor's report raised concerns by referring to this a
"remastered" version of the game. This was apparently because this was a quick
port of the original Japanese document, rather than a proper ground-up remake of
the announcement. Capcom's Stuart Turner clarifies: "Seems to be a few people
picking up a mistranslation in our own investor report. RE2 will be a full from
the ground up remake NOT a remaster."
