The end of the year marks my annual physical, something that's been complicated the past few years by my doctor's busy schedule, which makes it hard to get an appointment. This has led to another two-part visit: Today I dropped by to leave them some blood and urine (which always goes better when you are expected), and I will follow-up with an actual examination next week. This is the first time we've done it this way, which makes me wonder why, since it seems efficient for the doctor to be ready with test results to discuss them during the exam. I think I'll try and set it up this way for next year as well, though as I say, getting appointments is tricky enough to begin with. Now if I could only figure out why a five minute procedure five minutes from my house took an hour and a half out of my morning.
