Steamship Ahoy - UmiharaKawase

UmiharaKawase is now available on Steam, offering a 10% on this puzzle-platformer that was originally released over 20 years ago for consoles, making it just the second game in the popular Japanese series to make its way onto the PC platform. Details and media (like this Steam trailer) can be found on the Agatsuma Entertainment website, and here's a bit:

In 1994, a small bit of video game history was created when UmiharaKawase was launched. The game rapidly became a cult classic and a franchise was born. Now, for the first time ever, PC gamers can experience the first UmiharaKawase game in all its original glory.

It was the elasticity of Umihara's rubber fishing line that set the game apart from every other game that came before it. The game allowed players to experience a revolutionary style of gameplay. Much copied since, the game still stands apart to this day.

Play as `Umihara Kawase` - a backpacking Japanese sushi chef armed with a fishing rod, a rubber fishing line and a fishing hook. Avoid fish-like enemies, conveyer belts, spikes, watery pits and much, much more. The deeper in to this dream-like game players venture, the more challenging the solutions and the greater the time pressure becomes. Along the way, look out for shortcuts and secret exits and unlock bonus levels.
