Sony announces Dead Star, reports IGN, saying this is an arcade-style shooter coming early next year to Windows and PlayStation 4 from Armature Studio. They have some screenshots, and say they will have a hands-on preview later this week. Here's what they have to say about the game in the meantime:

Dead Star feels a lot like a twin-stick shooter, but it's larger in scale and strategically deeper than the genre usually shows. The 10v10 multiplayer matches (5v5 is also available) take place on procedurally generated maps, meaning their shape, buildings, and hazards will be different each time you play.
