Bethesda.net offers two new videos centered around Dogmeat, your faithful canine companion in Fallout 4, Bethesda's upcoming RPG sequel. This video from E3 2015 offers a look at Dogmeat in action and an interview discussing in-game companions with Game Director Todd Howard. This clip is a behind-the-scenes look at the development of the character, based on River, the real-life German Shepherd of lead designer Joel Burgess. Here's word:

Perhaps you know this already, but let’s say it one more time just in case: In Fallout 4, Dogmeat cannot die. Which is great news for all those players who would reload a previous save anytime their cherished canine met an untimely demise in Fallout 3. Dogmeat is just one of around a dozen companions in Fallout 4, including Mister Handy, Piper and Preston Garvey. How did the team at Bethesda Game Studios build such a beloved canine companion? They based Dogmeat on Lead Level Designer Joel Burgess’ real-life German Shepherd, River, who visits the studio quite often. “If we’re going to do the dog, we need to do this right,” Howard says.
