Today may be a little quiet (or not, who knows?) since we're on the crest of a
holiday weekend here in the U.S., as Monday is Labor Day here, a totally
non-commie celebration of working for the man. This also marks the unofficial end of
summer, though the season will continue for a few more weeks on the calendar. My
perception is that these rules-of-thumb have been especially accurate in these
parts lately, so I wouldn't be surprised if temperatures suddenly plummet after
Monday. In fact, this has been so pronounced it would only be a small shock to
wake up Tuesday to snow, or at least a yard full of dead leaves.
