An announcement on Battle.net has word that the Diablo-themed Eternal Conflict event in Heroes of the Storm will not live up to its name, as it is coming to a close next Tuesday, September 8th. This will end the free Diablo hero giveaway for Diablo III players as well as the treasure goblin quests. Other elements introduced with the event will continue on, however, as Diablo III players can still earn Malthael's Phantom mount, Heroes players can still earn a Diablo III decorations, and the two Diablo-themed Heroes of the Storm maps will remain in the rotation.
