When I said yesterday I was looking for suggestions for getting rid of my rotten
potato smell I meant I was combing the internet, but I ended up following the
advice of some of the posts you made in reply. Washing the cabinet out with
vinegar seemed like a good starting point, but as the vinegar odor faded, it
became clear the stench was still present. I then escalated to Batman's
suggestion that I bust out the bleach, and I think that's doing the trick. After
sitting overnight it still smells a bit like a swimming pool, but not one that
something died in, so that's considerable progress. It's got a bowl of
baking soda in there right now, and I may give it a follow up bleaching for good measure,
but I think I've turned a corner on the problem. Thanks for the help.
R.I.P.: Former Rep. Louis Stokes, the man who saved the space station, dies at age 90. Thanks Slashdot.
