Preseason tackle football is underway, and the Giants play their first game tonight against the Bengals. This will be a conflict for me, as this is opposite the Mets game. The significance is that I can't remember the last time I had to put even the slightest thought into deciding which team to watch, as the start of preseason football is traditionally an opportunity for me to lament the Mets already being long out of contention, so I am not complaining in the slightest.
