UbiBlog announces
the release of
Toy Soldiers: War Chest, a new installment in the
series available in two forms, one with a load of licensed DLC. Here's the deal:
Since time immemorial, humankind has pondered one eternal question: Who
would win in a fight? Germany circa World War I, or an army of teddy bears and
bubble-shooting fairies? He-Man or Cobra Commander? Ezio Auditore or Duke from
G.I. Joe? Now you can find the answers for yourself with Toy Soldiers: War
Chest, which brings its playroom-scale battles to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC
today.
Combining tower defense with hands-on action and armies of original and licensed
toys, Toy Soldiers: War Chest is available as a download-only standard edition –
which includes the Kaiser, Starbright, Phantom and Dark Lord armies – for
$14.99. Meanwhile, the $29.99 Hall of Fame Edition is available digitally and at
retail, and adds He-Man, G.I. Joe, Cobra and the Assassin Brotherhood. (If you
prefer to pick and choose, the licensed armies are also available separately for
$4.99 apiece.)
In addition to a 15-map campaign, an endless Survival mode and Weekly War
challenge maps, Toy Soldiers: War Chest sports split-screen and online co-op for
two players, and introduces two-on-two multiplayer that lets players build their
own turrets, as well as control or upgrade their ally’s turrets. To find out
