A Battle.net post has a confirmation from a Community Manager that some of the players banned from Heroes of the Storm earlier this week were not guilty of hacking or cheating and have had their accounts restored. There aren't many details, so it's not clear if these players were accidentally banned for the reasons we reported yesterday, though some of the comments suggest this is indeed the case. There is also a post indicating that the now-unbanned players are being given a 7-day stimpack in compensation. Here's word:

After performing an additional review of the evidence considered in this action, we’ve determined that a small number of players had their licenses deactivated in error. We have reached out to those players directly to inform them of the error and restore access to the game. It is our mission to make Battle.net a fun and safe environment for all players, and we sincerely apologize to those who were impacted.
