Out of the Blue

Last night a calamitous electrical storm passed through our area, freaking out the Gunnar-man a bit. Thunder never bothered him when Hudson the wonder dog was in charge (even though it terrified her) but now that he's top dog it's started to get to him at times. He used to seek out Hudson to comfort her during storms, but last night he woke me up for his own dose of solace, and I ended up lying with him on the couch watching some TV until things passed. I feel bad for his anxiety, so I feel guilty for enjoying the fact that it inspired him to cuddle with me for almost an hour, as his patience for such mushy nonsense usually lasts about three minutes. Sure enough, the second the storm abated, he was instantly done with me.
