New NFS This Fall; No Mirror's Edge & Titanfall Sequels Before 2016

Games publisher EA's fourth quarter profit, revenue trump estimates has financial reports from Electronic Arts, saying the company's stock rose on better-than-expected results, saying these are "helped by strong digital sales and the release of 'Battlefield Hardline'." Word is: "Total revenue rose 5.5 percent to $1.19 billion for the fourth quarter ended March 31 from $1.12 billion a year earlier. The company's digital business, which includes software distributed through direct downloads, accounted for about 52 percent of total revenue. EA also forecast full-year revenue of $4.25 billion. On an adjusted basis, the company forecast full-year revenue of $4.40 billion and a profit of $2.75 per share." Some information about upcoming releases came in their post-earnings conference call, including plans for a New Need for Speed this fall and a new Plants vs. Zombies in early 2016, word that Mirror's Edge 2 will be out in early 2016 (specifically, between January 1 and March 31, 2016), and news that Titanfall 2 Won't Launch Until At Least 2016 (specifically, between April 1, 2016 and March 31, 2017).
