While I was pretty confident that Better Call Saul would be good, I am still finding myself shocked at how well the series is turning out. This shouldn't actually be such a surprise after the high standards set by Breaking Bad, but it seemed unrealistic to expect it to live up to them, but it has. Turning a high-school teacher with terminal cancer into the bad guy was a feat, but Vince Gilligan may be outdoing himself by turning a strip-mall lawyer with a mail-order degree into a sympathetic character. I'm already mourning the end of the season, and there are two episodes left.
