Obsidian revealed plans for an expansion for Pillars of Eternity during a
Reddit AMA last night for the RPG, which is due for release next week. “We
are looking at doing an expansion that’s about the same size (area wise) of
Tales of the Sword Coast," wrote Obsidian's Adam Brennecke, as
reported on VG247. "I won’t reveal much about it since it’s early in
development, but we’ve already have a small team working on areas and
environments while the rest of the team focus on shipping the game. We will
announcing more things about it over the next few months." On a related note,
here's a
trailer we missed when it was first posted a couple of weeks ago that
shows off a panel discussion of Pillars of Eternity at PAX East. The clip runs
just over 49 minutes, and offers beta gameplay footage along with the discussion
from the developers. Word is: "Gameplay and presentation of Pillars of Eternity
(Beta Version). From Pax East 03/07/15, with Chris Avellone, Adam Brennecke, Tim
Cain, Josh Sawyer, Brandon Adler and Shane Defreest." Thanks nin.
