The Gunnar-man and I ran into his favorite girlfriend on one of our walks yesterday, as Elvis (yes, she's a girl) was out and about. She's a Woodle, which is a Poodle mixed with a Wheaton Terrier, though through most of the winter you could mistake them for twins, as they each had giant blown-out Dr. J-style afros. In a sign of the times, however, Elvis' big hair has left the building, as she has already gotten her spring haircut, and is more-or-less shaved all over. This is a reminder that I'll soon have to do the same for Gunnar, and saying farewell to his magnificent coat is about the only regret I'm feeling right now about the change in seasons.
