A new short virtual reality adventure game called InMind is now available
as a free download on Steam,
offering an experience specifically designed for Oculus Rift DK1/DK2, though a
VR unit is not mentioned in the system specs, which cover Windows, Linux, and OS
X. Though developer Nival VR (a new subsidiary of Nival Interactive) doesn't
mention Fantastic Voyage,
the game sounds like it is inspired by the 1966 sci-fi movie: "With the help of
nanotechnologies a surgical prototype bathyscaphe allows its operator to shrink
to a microlevel and travel inside the patient's body."
This video shows off
gameplay, and here's word: "This first demo allows players to experience the
journey into the patient's brain in search of neurons that cause mental
disorder. Submerge into the microworld and experience the miracles of the human
mind!" The accompanying quote from the developer stresses the educational
aspects of this:
