Steam for Linux Bug Could Cause Data Loss

There's a thread on GitHub about an issue with Steam for Linux that can cause the deletion of everything on a user's system. This begins with one user's story, though other examples of where this has happened have surfaced, and Valve seems to be in the midst of investigating the problem. Thanks PCWorld via HARDOCP.
