The smurf who gave me his cold calmly reassured me it was only a three-day virus, and he turned out to me pretty right, as yesterday was day three for me, and I feel a lot better today. He didn't warn me that it would go out with a bang, as it ended up knocking me out pretty early last night, but he's all of 12, so he probably shrugged it off a lot better than I did. Anyway, I hate being sick (who doesn't?), so I'm very glad to believe I am mostly over this.
