Kotaku has details from an announcement that Shanda Games will be launching Borderlands Online in China, saying this is an MMOFPS based on Gearbox Software's role-playing shooter series. There's no indication this will head westward at this point, but here's word on what they're up to: "Players will be able to play as four distinct character classes that are similar to the characters found in the original Borderlands. The characters available are the soldier, hunter, siren, and what looks to be the berserker." Word is the game will be free-to-play.
